Congratulations to Deputy Chief Mike Holzmueller

Deputy Chief Mike Holzmueller was selected and received the state’s highest Chief Officer Leadership Award, the “Ken Akerley Fire Service Leadership Award” at Alaska Fire Chief’s Association’s awards banquet in Kenai, September 26, 2014. Deputy Chief Holzmueller was selected for his dedication to service through his management of 18 scholarship firefighter/medic positions with SVFD and for his management of recruiting new volunteers each year for our staffing.  Mike has served with the SVFD for 9 years with professional commitment to excellence.
