
Built in 2007 and remodeled in 2013, Station 61 is the main operating station for the Steese Volunteer Fire Department. It houses our administrative staff and offices. The station is staffed by 1 career staff who works an A, B, C rotating 48/96 hour shift schedule. The staff consists of 1 paid Firefighter and 2 volunteer Firefighters. We also have 14 live-in volunteer Firefighters. The station also has the Fire Chief that works Mon-Thurs and the Deputy Fire Chief that works Tues-Fri. We also have a daytime Office Manager who works Mon-Friday.
The Station houses 1 Type 1 Pumper, 1 ALS Ambulance, 1 Tender, 1 Type 6 Brush Rig, and 5 support vehicles. This station responds to all emergencies within Steese Area Service Area.

Tender 61 is built on a 2014 Spartan Peterbilt chassis. It is equipped with a 1000 GPM pump and a 3000-gallon water tank.
Medic 61
Medic 61 is built on a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado chassis and is an ALS ambulance.
Command 60
Command 60 is built on a 2017 Explorer chassis and is the Fire Chiefs take home vehicle.
Command 64
Command 64 is built on a 2013 F150 chassis and is the Battalion Chiefs take home vehicle.
