Now is a great time to change your smoke detector batteries while you are changing your clocks for Daylight Savings Time. When you change your batteries also test the detector to make sure it is working correctly. Replace any detectors that are ten years or older. Local fire departments have free batteries and detectors if you need them, we can even come to your home and install them for you. You need to have at least one smoke detector on each level of your home and outside every sleeping area. Also have fire extinguishers on each floor, especially near the kitchen, garage, laundry room and workshop. It is also very important to have a fire escape plan with all the members of your family. If you have any questions please call us at 457-1508.
Please remember to change your smoke detector & CO detector batteries today
